What an Amazing Month!

I feel like July just flew by! I had the honor to present to the Wisconsin VFW Conference in the beginning of the month and then for the New England Municipal Clerks Institute and Academy. There is nothing that makes my heart more full than sharing my passion for positive leadership - along with some fundamental jobs of a Municipal Clerk/Treasurer.

I had no idea what to expect when I was asked to speak to the VFW members. I had a preconceived idea of what the audience would be like (boy was I wrong!) and wondered what they would get out of a presentation on forward focused leadership. I had an audience who was engaged, interested and truly appreciated what I had to share. The best part was hanging out with them afterwards and hearing their stories. All I can say is that it was a humbling experience to be with all of them and I hope to be invited back to speak to them again.

My week as an instructor for NEMCI-A was also a fantastic experience. I did take a bit of a round-about way to get to Plymouth, New Hampshire. I stopped for a short weekend visit to Kingstown, Rhode Island and spent time with friends. I was blown away by the warm welcome I received from them - but to have fresh lobster for dinner on my birthday was the BOMB!! Thanks to the amazing Steve Adler and Jay Rosenfeld for being perfect hosts, and for introducing me to your fabulous families.

My time in Plymouth flew - even if it meant staying in a college dorm for a week (oh, the memories). The students at the Institute were engaged, welcoming and I probably got more from them than they got from me. I was touched when several attendees spoke to me about how I touched their lives and helped them appreciate their “why”.

I truly feel that the month of July was totally in line with my brand -

I want to change the world one person at a time with positivity.

I can’t wait to see what August brings!!
