Change your posture - change your power

I don’t know about you, but I grew up watching Linda Carter as “Wonder Woman”. Her feats of bravery and athletic ability were right up there with her male super hero counterparts - and she did it in high heels!

Amy Cuddy did a study about how altering body language can change a person’s life in a meaningful way. How does it work? Ahead of a stressful or nerve-wracking situation, try standing in the “Wonder Woman” pose for 2 minutes. It can change hormone levels in the body by increasing testosterone (connected with dominance) and decreasing cortisol (connected with stress).

Next time you are facing a stressful meeting or presentation, strike a pose! A change in your body language could make all the difference so you can fake it till you become it!
