DON’T STOP BELIEVING

It’s not just a Journey song–but the song that I identify with MY journey. I am so excited to have my website up and running and to start sharing my story, my journey with you.

Each of us has a story. Some of us are called to share it–the good, the bad and the ugly. And in sharing our story, the hope is that we can inspire others to be a better version of themselves.

This really hit home to me while listening to a leadership presentation several years ago. The speaker, Marilyn Sherman, talked about living your life in the Front Row. That presentation hit me and made me realize that I needed to move to my front row. I knew I had a story to tell, I knew that what I would share could impact others, but fear held me back.

So I started working on my dream and my passion. I reached out to people I respected and asked advice, sought opinions and gathered information. I would get so far, and then fear would kick in again. My journey paused. The self-doubt would log me down and that little voice in my head would start talking. And boy was that voice negative.

I started to focus on my vision. I started to talk to myself instead of listen to myself. I shared bits and pieces of my story and the feedback was positive. I did more research and read more about leadership and the effects of being a positive leader. And everything I read just felt right, it felt like it fit me. My vision became fueled with passion.

Being a positive leader has become my passion. It fuels my soul. I trip over the words coming out of my mouth when I talk about positivity. During all of this, AnneU Speaks was born.

I can’t wait to share with you tips and tricks to be a positive leader. From my life experiences, to sharing what I have learned from others, each week will bring something for you to reflect on to make you a better you.

I have turned the negative connotation of fear behind me and am conquering it –

F – Forward focused

E – Enthusiastic

A – Attitude

R – Ready

Until next time,
